When you need Goods or Services, What Do You Do?
When we are ready for a product or service, no matter what time of year it is most of us either keep an eye out for an ad in our mailboxes. Watch for a TV commercial that fits our need’s. Or head over to the internet and open up a Browser, type in a key phrase/word of what we are looking for and start clicking, or shopping. The ones at the top of the shopping list are either the ones with brand recognition, or if that small paragraph under a URL address appeals to the searcher’s needs.
Most Shoppers will go about 3 pages deep when they do a search for something. Maybe they will re-type the keyword in a different phrase, until something appeals to them in a search. Wouldn’t you agree that it is important to have your sizzle, on your website landing page? Spending big money on mailbox ads, billboards, etc, may capture some business. However, most of us turn to the internet and type in a keyword to get the latest info on what we are looking for. Website Commercials do exactly that. As a matter of fact, pay attention to a T.V ad this evening and notice how they steer you to their website. On that note, let’s delve into marketing our websites, or creating some of that ‘curb’ appeal.
Website Commercials Create Appealing Websites
There are many websites out there that have been designed years back, or look the same as another website, due to themes, or ‘canned‘ website packages. Very confusing for the shopper. Trying to recall a generic, or canned website is frustrating for the shopper and it’s a dis-advantage for both the business owner and shopper, for obvious reasons. One may think that the colors of a website, or a few pics of the business, or office will do the trick. It does not, after a few pages of browsing they all begin to meld together. If a website has something memorable, catchy, like a distinctive logo, or using website commercials distinctive to One’s own website. Your chances of being recalled and found again increases 100 fold. Along with referrals are easier recalled by the One referring the service or product.
Converting a Shopper into a Buyer with Website Commercials
Most agree that a website is like an online brochure. Yet, the public expects more and more from online presence. The Consumer expects a website to load fast for one. They expect it to load in any device they have decided to view a website with. They expect it to lay out well in any type of browser, such as Explorer, FireFox, and Snow Leopard for Mac, along with any and all mobile browsers used in Iphones etc…This all plays a part in a shopper sticking around long enough to check out a virtual store and either pick-up a phone and call the business direct, or add something to their shopping cart, and check-out.
I know this because I buy almost everything I consume, (except food) first by checking online for pricing and then I finish my purchases, due to feeling comfortable with the website. Did you know that just having the PayPal logo in your shopping cart area increases a transaction completion by 30%? Statistics show, most do not finish an online transaction because they either were not sold, or did not feel safe, or trusted doing business with a website, due to it’s website presence. After all a website is just a website until you put a face to it. That is why the use of virtual sales people are so successful. People buy people. Website Commercials create virtual sales forces!
Being Unique in a Virtual Sea of Templates Using Website Commercials
Above, I briefed on cloned/canned websites, older stale designs, and consumer expectations. If you design and maintain your website yourself, via forums and ‘hacking away’ until it looks good on your browser. You may be doing yourself a dis-service. For one, you are dabbling part-time in something that requires full time attention. Another thing is you are taking precious time from what you do for a living, or what you do best.
For instance, I am sure most of us could learn to sew clothes. Yet we don’t sew our own clothes. Comparative Economics play a role in that. Conversely we pay ridiculous amounts of money for them. Why? Because most of us want to be in-style and accepted by our peers, don’t have time to perfect the right styling, stitching, etc. The same goes for your website presence. I am not suggesting you pay ridiculous amounts of money to do your website. Having CK design it, however why not emulate it. There are plenty of Content Management Systems (C.M.S.) that will handle most of the coding free, or very cheap. They can also be updated, and are updated, by full-time coders in which you can download and update your site on your own. Yet, you still need to create content/media, like when creating your brochure. One needs to gather or create pictures/media to ‘doll‘ up One’s website. You try to make your website look different while emulating your competitor’s so that you stand out, yet also fit in and are recalled. Yet something is missing isn’t it?
Four Challenges Overcome via Website Commercials
In the beginning of this article I mentioned how most shopper’s will search up to 3 pages deep on their browser searches, for a product/service needed. On that note, (1) ranking is a very important thing a virtual store owner needs. After all you could have the best website out there, and unless it is being seen, it might as well be in a folder on your computer. I am sure we are in agreement there.
As website owner’s we want to be (2) recalled when the consumer is ready to buy. A few ways we can do that is have a catchy, memorable slogan, or an easily recognizable logo. Perhaps doing like I do, by writing a Blog that people who are interested in bettering their online presence can subscribe to an R.S.S feed. That gives free, useful information that is applicable to real life challenges of marketing/advertising a website. Although, writing a Blog takes a lot of time, thought and dedication. My 25+ years of in and outside sales sure helps as well. Having Shopper’s (3) complete a transaction because they are comfortable with your website/company. (4) Standing out amongst your competition, while NOT spending an ‘arm and a leg,’ or using up all your free time to ‘hack away’ at your website until you finally do appear at the top of the page and are pleasing enough for a consumer to buy. Heck, that is why you got into business for yourself in the first place, is to enjoy or have some free-time. Right? This next paragraph will help you overcome those 4 challenges.
How Do Video Website Commercials Help?
Website Commercials will for one, help with (1) ranking of your website. Google’s algorithms are set to look for website commercials. Those website commercials need to be meta, alt, tagged and cross browser supported as well. A video website commercial will help with (2) recalling One’s website, or help to (3) re-assure that they are at the right place for what they are looking for. Website Commercials increase transactions by 30% according to statistics as found in these stats, figures and facts.
Using Website Commercials will make you (4) stand-out amongst your competitors. Like a T.V ad does when you are considering a service or product.
A website owner should consider face-lifts and updates of their websites as they would a new car for their business. There are only a few things that should NOT evolve with One’s business. Logo and Slogan. You spend big money to drill into the public’s head the two things you want them to use to recall and trust you as a fixture in the community. Website Commercials will compliment that, while also being able to update it, so One can also be trendy with the times. If this information makes sense, start a non-obligation quote for your company.
