TV Commercials are swiftly being replaced by internet commercials
The internet has changed the way the world watches TV, video, and just about anything else in between. Advertisers have come to grips with this and in order to seek the same TV market share, they have turned to net commercials.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 12, 2010 ) Los Angeles, CA – International Journalism Review (IJR) looks at one of the largest growing trends in the world; Internet marketing commercials, which according to CNN and many marketing experts is the newest and fastest advertising wave to hit the world since the TV commercial.
The use of video to hit target markets in not necessarily a new trend, YouTube has captured this signal years ago and Google is proof of its power. However, the use of commercials in these videos and even on individual websites to showcase a message to their respective audiences is catching on in all kinds of markets. Whether walking by a Kiosk in a mall, store front, or surfing the internet, commercials seem to be the “newest trend.”
Just like our recession has pushed consumers to want more for their money, these same consumers seem to want more from the websites they visit or stores they enter. IJR sat at a Starbucks in Huntington Beach, California and spoke with one of the Pioneers in internet website commercials and owner of www.netcommercial.net, Simon Faris, who told IJR he saw the blizzard coming when YouTube passed network TV in national viewers.
Faris said “Why is there 3-D TV’s at Costco? Because people want more, they get bored, they expect more. We provide websites and business’ steroids in a environment where they do not test for them (Meaning they standout in comparison to other websites). My catch phrase is, ‘when they are surfing the net and you don’t want them to forget!’ it is simple, in this day and age you need to make an impression, we put the professionalism in the commercial and we save the consumer about 60% off normal production rates.
We can make it simple or cutting edge and our turnaround time is fast as well. We can do anything, green screens, provide actors, scripts, or whatever the task is. The most important thing that a business owner should grasp is that at anytime someone inquires about your business they will get the message you want them to receive.”
Faris told IJR that although advertisers are a good part of his market, individual website owners make up the bulk of the business. It seems that having a commercial for a website is the next progression of the internet. Our research found very few companies that provide this service mainly because of the ease of today’s free programs and YouTube video outlets. However, if making commercials or editing video is not your thing, maybe Netcommercial could be the answer.
IJR encourages all people looking to implement a commercial for their business or website to properly investigate the provider including time in business, track record, education in their respective field, and overall knowledge of their service.
